He had seen her.
It would have been hard to not, when she was always two steps behind their Emperor. Always near, but never present. She never spoke, at least, not that he’d heard; and she never seemed to sleep either. No matter the time, she was always standing to the side when their Emperor called for his Master.
It was like she simply existed and the Court was aware enough of her to not run into her or get between her and their Emperor, but not actually aware of her at the same time. She was a shadow, there to observe and protect the Emperor; something he had never seen before, but heard the gossip of the palace servants.
So yes, he had seen her.
