Nachdem Steve seinen neuen Sklaven Bucky besser kennengelernt hat und nun auch weiss, dass sein Vater Alexander Pierce alles als Ausrede nehmen wird um Bucky zu verletzen, beschliesst er Bucky zu kontrollieren.
Er nimmt ihn mit in die Schule, mit ins Training, mit zu Freunden. Genaustens überprüft er, wer mit Bucky in Kontakt kommt und wer ihm schaden könnte. Pierce freut sich darüber überhaupt nicht, aber Steve ist es egal.

Summary
Montreal didn't take the news of Shane's and Ilya's relationship very well.
Shane would've never thought that the hatred of his teammates could run so deep, until he finds himself lying half-conscious on the floor, with blood coating his lips and face.
In the aftermath, Shane tries to protect Ilya as much as he can, not wanting to bother him with his fears.
Ilya doesn't want to do anyhting more than protect Shane from his fears, afraid Shane's refusal to talk will change their relationship irrevocably.
orAU fic set after Shane and Ilya's involuntary outing. A few teammates attack Shane. Ilya freaks out. Shane shuts everyone out. The following weeks are hell. Shane has to learn to overcome his fears.
