Summary
The tale of wisdom and the sea is wrought with blood. Once Athena loved Pallas, but that didn’t stop her from going too far to win a fight. Once Annabeth loved Percy, but that didn’t stop her hurting him.
And Percy, upon his death, learns he was once Pallas. He learns that this love was always destined to fail.
But the fates have other plans than for Percy to just die. The sea prince's thread - whom they cradled long before his birth and will continue to lead long after - has always been threaded with gold after all, and now the sun and moon must fall to Tartarus, or all will be lost before his ascension.
