Summary
A few years ago, right before Sunny left the orphanage, a strange woman arrived at the orphanage. She walked with purpose, assessing the children gathered for only a brief moment. Somehow, as if the gods had decided to reward him for all his struggles, the woman's gaze landed on him and Rain, and stayed. For once, Sunny thought there was a future outside the outskirts, one where he and his sister could enjoy food and warmth.
Yet, fate seemed to have other plans.
The woman left, promising to return soon, but never came back. Eventually, Sunny was kicked out, with only the respite being that Rain found a family that could take care of her. Just when he thinks it can't get any worse, he starts finding it hard to stay awake.. With nothing left to lose, Sunny resolves to do the one thing he knows he can do. Survive.

Summary
Atop the Crimson Spire, a treacherous shadow and a radiant angel fought. Normally, the shadow would win, only to realize he had been fooled and ultimately forced to leave the angel behind.
