Rob should say no. This is so weird. He’s just having a wee chat with his sworn enemy on Britain’s biggest pop star’s balcony. He shouldn’t be here. He should be at home, stuffing his gob with poppadoms and crying himself to sleep. But there’s something here. His life is so dull and depressing just now, but seeing Gary has lit a little fire beneath him. Warm and exciting. Whether or not the fire is burning him is yet to be seen.

It had been raining when they first stepped off of the shuttle onto Starfleet Academy's grounds.
Leonard glared up at the San Francisco sky, cool drops pelting his face and ignoring the wrath of his gaze. It was raining just enough so the weather could not be ignored, and Leonard pulled the collar of his jacket tighter around his neck before he heaved his duffel bag up further on his shoulder.
"This has to be an omen," he muttered.

Summary
Raylan Givens is the kind of man who Rachel Brooks can't stand working with. He saunters into their office, all swagger and charm, thinking he's God's gift to women and law enforcement. When she's had to fight so hard to be taken seriously, a man like that grates on her. But when they manhunt a rapist together, and they find themselves in serious trouble, she finds out he's just the kind of man she wants to have her back after all.
Please see the tags. There is nothing too graphic, but I've purposely not added a certain archive warning because the number of people who use that particular warning and then write smut automatically puts me off and this is that not that kind of story.
