Now they're sharing a body, or at least trading off on using it, and it's pretty clear that something suspicious is going on. Hopefully, with both of them on the case, they can figure out what's happening without too many deaths, and then once that's done maybe Lan Wangji will help them get unstuck from each other. If, that is, they decide that's something they really want.

Everyone knew that all the Young Masters of Lan QiRen’s generation were at least a little bit in love with CangSe SanRen; except for QingHeng-Jun and that is because the majority of Lan’s no matter how ill-advised fell irreversibly in love at first sight, but Lan QiRen made up for his brother’s lack of love for CangSe SanRen by (possibly) being A BIT in love (maybe) with her.
And everyone knew that CangSe SanRen walked into Lotus Pier one day with a donkey and the next day rode into the sunrise with Wei ChengZe.
So when Lan QiRen sees Lan WangJi dragging a man towards the jingshi, while the man threatens the juniors with life and limb to keep his donkey safe.
Lan QiRen cracks, history will NOT repeat itself.
