Summary
Turned vampires were nothing like the Originals. Where the ancient ones were cold, instinctive creatures driven only by survival, the turned carried something heavier—hatred. They resented humans, resented their creators, and resented the violent transformation forced upon them.
Sunoo was one of them.
Nine months earlier, he hadn’t been chosen or hunted. He had been offered up as entertainment, turned into a monster for someone else’s amusement. The transformation hollowed him out. The warm, bright boy he once was faded into someone quiet, sharp, and unsettling. Beneath his stillness burned a single purpose:
Revenge.
He wanted to destroy the Originals who had stolen his life without a second thought. He believed he was nothing like them—until a group of newly turned vampires crashed into his path. They were reckless, unpredictable, and completely unprepared for the world they’d been thrown into.
They disrupted his plans. They disrupted his solitude.
And most dangerously of all, Sunoo found himself feeling something he never expected to feel again:
Love.

"Finally, finally, Sunghoon turns to Sunoo. Through bleary eyes and shallow breaths, he sighs. He stares at his hands like his cuticles are the most troubling thing in the world, and with a furrowed brow, he mutters, almost confused:
'I think you might be the love of my life.'
Down the sides of Sunoo’s spine, sunk deep in an ocean of blood and muscle, he feels his wings start to unfurl."

Or, Sunoo is an angel that gets a (temporary) second chance at life. He spends it falling in love with Sunghoon, who might be better than Heaven.

Sunghoon nods deliberately as if to empathize with his slowness. “With Sunoo.” He clarifies helpfully.
Jungwon thinks he should have started with that.
