Summary
“Who are you then?”
“I am Dazai. Dazai Osamu.”
Chuuya’s eyes opened wide. He blinked a couple of times, then let out an incredulous breath. While retreating into his chair, he mumbled, “I... didn’t think it would work.”
“It really didn’t,” Dazai smirked. He made sure to inflect his tone with scorn and mockery; let it be known that he would not bend to a human’s fleeting desires. “That is not my real name.”
“It is.” Chuuya inclined his head to the side, curls caressing his features in fire, highlighting the redness of his cheeks — he was embarrassed, Dazai mused. Humans’ foolishness really was amusing: they had so little time and spent so much of it feeling. “As long as we’re together, that is your real name.”
Or,
Dazai is the Lord of Dreams. He breathes life into humans' dreams and nightmares, despite not being interested in them at all... until he encounters one human that wishes to live forever. And so, Dazai and Chuuya start meeting every hundred years.

Summary
Nakahara would say, his hard work had paid off.
Finally having Dazai within reach, head against his chest, stray strands of freshly shampooed brown hair tickling his chin and said brunet napping safe in his arms while they laid on a couch in a small countryside house he had purchased, was a great fucking outcome.
He made sure to hide his tracks, no one would find them. Not his other self, not the Special Ability Division fucks, not the Mafia nor the Agency.
No one.
And if Dazai somehow found out he isn't Chuuya?
That's fine, he'll do whatever it takes to keep his partner by his side.
(hi everyone so my phone is going taken away since I'm lowk been writing more than studying so yeah see you guys in a year :p)

Summary
It's like Chuuya hopes Dazai's insides will grant him a final answer. A missing release. Cause a rupture, end the flood through thermodynamics—migration of liquid from high to low pressure. End the constant hunger for more—but Dazai was just another new cavity. Death after death. Loss after loss. Stale leftovers. Rotting.
Chuuya and his relationship to Dazai, power, morality and himself.
A study on their push and pull dynamic and weird fucked up relationship to the concept of life and humanity (and each other).
About Chuuya letting Dazai into his mind, and Dazai letting Chuuya into his body. Minimal vulnerability and an exchange of power as a compromise.OR more literally ig:
Chuuya being pissed at Dazai in various situations and getting turned on from inflicting violence and injuries onto him.

Summary
4 years earlier
“Would you kill me, Chuuya?” The room stills. “Tonight? If I asked nicely? If I begged for it?” The last words slip out like a purr.
The room stills. Dazai is pathetic. Chuuya doesn’t want him to ask, doesn’t want to know what he’d do when Dazai is pliant and begging for it.
Chuuya stares at him. “What the hell are you talking about?”
And Dazai’s chest doesn’t rise or fall.
loosely a prequel to my work halfway point, but can be read as a standalone. a collection of angst-fuelled scenes & moments leading up to dazai's defection <3
