Summary
Hinata always thought his first kiss would be with a cute girl.
A girl who smiled a lot and made him feel all “gwahhhh!” inside. The kiss would happen on some lazy summer afternoon, a cool breeze mingling with the scent of flowers, and the gentle sound of cicadas would be humming in the background. They’d both be laughing, get closer, and it would sort of just happen. It would be perfect!
But here he was-
In the middle of a school gymnasium that smelled strongly of sweaty teenage boys, complete with a deafening crowd surrounding him. And this “perfect” first kiss was not with a cute, smiling, girl..
It was with a tall, scary, (stupid) boy.

Summary
Tobio braced himself and stood, gathering Hinata’s warm body close. Hinata’s weight settled against him, strengthening the impression he always had at these times: that he was collecting a part of himself, severed by some weird circumstance. In these moments he couldn’t help feeling that Hinata belonged to him, and as long as he didn’t talk about the impression out loud it harmed no one. As it was Hinata mumbled a little, curling into him the way he’d anticipated.
Without a word he carried Hinata to Hinata’s cluttered bedroom and laid him in bed, wrestling blankets out from under him to cover him with. Hinata woke, then, a little, but only to blink at him sleepily and mumble something that sounded like thanks. He turned away, and Tobio returned to his own bedroom, turning off all the lights on the way. That restlessness from earlier threatened to rise up and strangle him.
Living with Hinata was nice—but only most of the time. Only when he didn’t feel like this.

Summary
What was a ghost supposed to be, anyway? A memory? A wish? A mass hallucination? A bundle of residual energy? Were they as people traditionally thought of them—lost souls wandering the face of the earth? Were they trapped in liminal space, or did they simply refuse to let go? Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Maybe it didn’t matter. Maybe whatever came after death could not be so easily understood or confined to a neat little box with human parameters. It just existed. It just was. And that was all.
