Summary
There's something about Wriothesley's visits up top that's been troubling him lately.
Or, not quite troubling as it is…poking his brain. Piquing his interest, so to speak.
Lately, for some reason or another, he keeps finding Neuvillette waiting at the entrance of the Fortress of Meropide. Looking pensive, stare far off into the distance, up until it meets Wriothesley’s gaze and refocuses to take him in from head to toe—and by head to toe, he really does mean head to toe. Had anyone else done a once-over on him—any other civilian for that matter—he’d think he was being checked out.
Seeing as it's Neuvillette though, that's probably not it.
Hint: that's definitely it.

Neuvillette has not been a child in a very long time. He still feels like a chastened one now, as Wriothesley leans back, shaking his head. “Ah. I see.” Crossing his arms over his chest, fabric moving soft against the broad muscle beneath, he lets out a half-amused breath. “I’m rather afraid we’ve been played, Monsieur. And by your own adoring daughters, at that.”
In which Neuvillette and Wriothesley discover together that Petrichor is also a very warm place.

It didn’t matter, in the end. Furina hadn’t intended to stay. Instead she’d come to his desk, leaning over it to push two stiff pieces of paper into his face. “You should go see it!” she’d enthused. “Take a friend!”
And he’d stared at the tickets, two of them, and then frowned up at her. “…shall I take you, then?”
Her expression made it seem as though he’d grown another head entirely, and this one no smarter than the first. “Why would I want to see it again?” she asked. “I made it! I’ve seen it a thousand times and more! I told you to take a friend!”
Neuvillette decides to watch The Two Musketeers. And to take the director's suggestion that he has a...friend...accompany him.

"Well, to put it quite simply," Sigewinne says, spinning around in her chair to look at Neuvillette. "Since you're a dragon, your body doesn't follow the traditional way of presenting. Now that you have your full authority back it's giving you a clear ultimatum."
Neuvillette tilts his head, encouraging her to go on.
"You need to decide whether you want to breed or be bred."

After everything has been said and done regarding Fontaine's Prophecy, Neuvillette is facing an issue he has yet to fully understand, which is his body attempting to revert to a dragonic appearance, not only to no avail, with a rather embarrassing looks at the result.
However, if many times before he has been able to conceal himself, he didn't take into account the unexpected boldness of a certain Duke of Méropide, and finds himself in a rather intricate situation.
