Hermione chooses to go back to Hogwarts for her 8th year. She wanted to go back to a normal life and finish her studies so she could get the job she wanted.
She stayed in a dorm off campus so she could learn to live life on her own, but also with another student. Ron and Harry decided to do their own thing.
The only thing she didn’t realize she would be sharing it with Draco Malfoy.
A new bond is made when Malfoy saves her from a relentless Ron who isn’t happy at all with Hermione sharing a dorm with Malfoy. Ron angry and upset that Hermione refuses to change dorms takes it into his own hands to force her out one way or another.
