There is exhaust and oil that smells pretty unpleasant, and the noise is obnoxious. Yet that is what attracts people to the game. The idea that you too could be a winner, get the gold and become infamous.

Summary
Reki knows what the aftermath of a fight looks like, know it well and personally. The split lips, bruises, and bloodied knuckles of people getting out of hand.
They're familiar in both sight and feeling. There's nothing more annoying than reopening a split lip during daily life; at least he isn't talking to Langa enough for him to see it. The other boy doesn't need to deal with his self-destruction in the ring as of late.

Finding out that his best friend (and crush) was a vampire, was not on Reki’s to do list for this school year. Not that he’s complaining, otherworld abilities are really useful in the skating world, and it was a small plus that Langa could beat anyone who tried to mess with Reki.
Thrown in the world of vampires, Reki must learn to hold his ground with nothing to help him but his own wits and questionable life choices. Obsessed with the idea of his 'Eve', Adam will do anything to get what he wants, even if it means using the redhead human to do so.
Langa just wants to skate with Reki and keep him safe. Which would be easier if he stopped running into trouble around every corner.
The others are wondering how one human can end up in so many dangerous situations they're left questioning if Reki has any self-preservation instincts at all.
It doesn’t take long to realise Adam will stop at no lengths to get what he wants; can the rest of the team keep Reki safe despite his stubbornness that he doesn’t need protecting?
Joe and Cherry are confused when they became parents, Shadow is confused why Reki is stealing his flash bombs, and everyone is sick of the mutual pining between two idiots in love.

Everything was finally right. It had been months since his beef with Adam and Langa felt on top of the world. He felt like he and Reki were truly going to skate infinitely together. That is until a newcomer at S brought it crashing down. After years of radio silence, Reki's childhood friend showed up at S one night, and sent the pair into uncharted territory as Reki and Langa's perfect world was thrown into chaos. As Aoki slowly starts to make his way back into Reki's life, bringing up old feelings and provoking current tensions, Reki and Langa are forced to confront what they mean one each other, and how long the label of "friends" is able to last.

Reki fell silent. He had spent so long telling himself that this would never happen. That Aoki was no longer going to be a part of his life. Now that he had an invitation to let him in again, he was terrified. He could feel Langa hold him just a little tighter, and he let himself hold back. He could never figure out how Langa could make him feel safe like this, with just a touch, but it felt too right to think about it too hard. -
