    Summary

Harry Osborn hated Spider-Man. He hated that he'd stolen his best friend away from him, he hated how he'd won the heart of New York and he hated how he took his father's life and got away with it.

But he was done trying to get revenge for it. He wouldn't put on his father's costume any longer, he wouldn't ruin his mind with drugs anymore. He was done with that life, he was done with him - Peter Parker, and he was certain of that.

So why was it that when the masked menace collapses in his garden in the dead of night, injured and unconscious, his first reaction isn't to shout or chase him away, but to grab the medkit and start dressing his wounds? Why did he insist upon making sure that he was alive and well instead of ridding him from his life like he'd always wanted? He hated Spider-Man, he was sure of that, so why did he stay?

Aka: Peter gets badly injured during a villain attack and accidentally takes himself to his former best friend's house for safety. Harry, against everything he thought he knew, runs down to help him, all the while battling with the truth that maybe his hate wasn't as strong as he'd wished it to be.

    Summary

Peter softens. “I’ll always know you, Harry. No matter what’s happened between us.”

“That’s not it.” He bites the inside of his cheek and waits for a metallic taste to burn through him. “God, my father was wrong. I’m more like him than he thought. Greedy. I want more than I should, more than I deserve.”

Confusion flits across Peter’s handsome features. “What are you…”

“I want you to say I love you and mean it,” Harry whispers, “the way I do.”

On his deathbed, Harry commits one last selfish and utterly evil act—a love confession. Only, he survives, Peter stays, and the two are left grasping at a daze of memories, domestic life, and the impossible question of what lies for them next.

    Summary

    “Harry, it’s me.”

“You killed my father.” He feels like a broken record. Replaying the same song over and over. Nonsensical lyrics. The edges cracked, pops and sizzles. Broken. Broken. Broken.

“No,” Peter softly says, shaking his head. “No, I—”

“You could’ve told me.” The words come out tired. “I spent so much time making a fool of myself.” That’s when Harry actually does let out a little laugh, sheepishly running his fingers through his hair. Pinning Peter to the wall has been long forgotten; now, they simply stand inches apart, chests heaving. “Fuck you.”

After Peter defeats Doc Ock, he pays Harry a visit. Set during Spider-Man 2 (2004).

    Summary

It’s then, at the slight nip on his bottom lip, that Peter hesitates, pulls back, watches as Harry’s eyes flutter open, disorientated at the loss of touch.

Those long lashes curl and give way to blown-out, brown pupils. “Harry,” he whispers, nudging their noses together in a moment of weakness. “What are we doing?”

“Whatever you want,” Harry exhales. His stare remains sharp, hungry. “Whatever you’ll let me have.”

After Norman Osborn's funeral, Harry seeks solace in convenient stores, cheap beer, and the unwitting company of Peter Parker. It turns out that decisions fueled by grief, guilt, and lingering hormones often fall into the definition of messy.
