Summary
What if the stone lions that guard some buildings were actually alive?
Two lions from Mufasa's and Taka's childhood pride complete their journeys in the Circle of Life and get reincarnated as stone lion statues outside of an old movie theater. They try to understand their new existence: where they are, how their new bodies work, and why all the diverse species have been replaced with one strange and unfamiliar type of monkey. (At least there are still pigeons!)
Soon they learn that they are only stone when observed. When no one is watching, they can move around. How perfect that they live right outside a movie theater which is a dark place where everyone's eyes are facing forward... -
