Another soul dies in the aftermath of the Hero and Demon Lord’s actions under very particular circumstances, and D decides to reincarnate him as the weakest monster within the System.
Reincarnated as a slime in the Great Elroe Labyrinth, Daha starts at the bottom of a world that defines strength through violence. He is weak, naive, and completely unsuited to how the System expects people to survive.
What he does have is a desire to improve, a habit of questioning the world around him, and an insistence on helping lives where he can. Those small choices don’t look important at first. But they compound into a completely different ending—and in doing so, he answers what it means to be a hero in this cruel world.
This fic explores Kumo Desu’s world beyond the paths canon lingered on, including the System’s mechanics, the wider world it shapes, and the gods who stand behind it. Divergence accumulates slowly, through changes in people, priorities, and outcomes, toward a very different end.
The end is never set in stone.

Summary
As a result of reading Okina Baba's So I'm A Spider, So What? I couldn't stop thinking about what I'd do in the main character's situation. It was fun, but also pretty distracting. In the end, I felt the only way to deal with it was to write it all down. To make a fanfic. Even though I have never written fanfiction before, and have a low opinion of self-inserts in particular.
I've put a lot of effort into avoiding the pitfalls, to ensure that this will be as interesting a read as it can be. No Mary Sues here.
So if, like me, you can't get enough of So I'm A Spider... maybe you'll enjoy the adventures of a sarcastic, pedantic Brit who has no idea how JRPGs work, trapped in a spider's body, in a labyrinth, in a world that runs on JRPG rules.

When Hermione is sent back in time by Remus Lupin after the defeat of Voldemort, she is forced to experience life in the 1970's, all the while waiting and hoping to be returned to her older Sirius Black, who she hopes is waiting for her in the future.
**This is an exact replica of the original story, The Debt of Time, but in chronological order. Meaning the story begins in 1971 instead of 1997 and follows the timeline going forward from that point. It was suggested as a challenge to readers (by other readers) and eventually it became a thing that many did after binging the original version. After MidnightChardonnay put together a downloadable PDF of this version and CrazyKitCat made an ePub, it was suggested that I make it available here on Ao3 for everyone.**
