Summary
Greg Lestrade is hired as a bodyguard in a private close protection detail for a high-profile client. He does not expect the client to be Mycroft Holmes. Twenty years ago, they knew each other. Now Greg is assigned to protect him. What was supposed to be a new bodyguard to make Mycroft’s life easier quickly becomes something far more complicated. “Not habitually, no.” Mycroft responded, leaning into the flame, breathing the ember alive. He took a small drag, and then another, deep and reverent.
