“You’re leaving tomorrow.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement.
“Yup,” Ace didn’t look overly excited, but he didn’t look too willing to stay any longer. “I have someone I have to find and defeat.”
“...but I don’t want you to leave,” Yamato knew it wasn’t the ‘Oden’-thing to say, but he couldn’t help it…Ace was the first friend he’d made in years and to only know him for a couple of hours and then for him to leave. “If you leave, I’ll be stuck with Kaido. Only.”
“...” Ace’s silence showed he knew the consequences of leaving, but his mind was made up already, it seemed. “I have to do this, Yamato. I’ll come back, I swear.”
“Or, you can just stay.”
“Huh?”
