“Mm,” Sana hummed, noncommittal. “You sure you can handle something like that?”
“I’ve driven since I was fifteen,” Jihyo huffed, defensive now. “I’m not that inexperienced.”
Sana’s gaze dipped slightly, just for a beat.
“I wasn’t talking about the car.”
Jihyo froze.
For a full second, her brain clearly scrambled to reframe what had just been said, and failed. She stared at Sana, wide eyed, mouth parting as if to speak but finding no words. Then she blinked rapidly and looked down at her shoes.
“I um.. I should probably get back to… fixing the thing. In the car. My car.”
