For a moment, Vi goes quiet. Something unreadable flickers across her face, there and gone before Caitlyn can name it. Then Vi shakes her head, a low chuckle slipping out. “Got in a fight with my sister.”
Caitlyn straightens, startled. “You have a sister?”
“Yeah,” Vi says, casual. “Twin, actually.”
Caitlyn blinks. “You do not.”
“I do.”
“You’ve never mentioned her.”
Vi leans in, a sly grin tugging at her mouth. “You never asked.”

Vi scoffed and stomped forward, the gravel crunching beneath her feet as she approached Caitlyn, who looked up at her with an empty, disinterested expression.
She stopped right in front of her, chest puffed out, voice dripping with venom.
“Good lord, Kiramman, maybe pace yourself for once. What’s the plan? Smoke yourself into an early grave so we don’t have to deal with you anymore?”
Caitlyn’s head jerked slightly, her features a cool mask of indifference.
“Though I am flattered by your concern," she said icily, taking a slow, deliberate drag from her cigarette, “I assure you that I am perfectly capable of handling myself, thank you very much.”
“Oh, yeah? Is that why you’re here?”
Caitlyn slightly perked one of her eyebrows. The look on her face made Vi immediately feel incredibly stupid and childish.
“No. I am here to smoke a cigarette. In peace. Why are you here?”

Summary
Anyone would have told Caitlyn to stop this exchange right here, that it was a breach of decorum to have this bold and crass American address her in such a way. After mentioning that she wants to be an Enforcer over dinner, Caitlyn is transferred from the Junior Academy to Zaun's only school to discourage her from choosing that path. During her first day, a girl named Vi begrudgingly helps Caitlyn and allows her to sit with her and her siblings, and Caitlyn develops an interest in being their friend (and... maybe (definitely) also develops a tiny (massive) crush on Vi). Despite their reservations, they accept her into their little group, and she fights to be a full part of the crew, through both high school and heists.
(Basically, Vi, Mylo, Claggor, Powder, and Caitlyn at the age they were in S1: Act 1 in high school in Zaun, featuring Caitlyn and Vi having an adorable teenage romance, Vander's kids trying to make Caitlyn into an anti-establishment delinquent (it mostly works), Vander ending up with another kid constantly hanging out in his basement, and the six of them (including Ekko) being chaotic teenagers/kids trying to find their way among a steampunk borderline-dystopia, high school, and their constant shenanigans that happen as a result of them all being chaotic little gremlins plus terminal illness and class war.)

"Is it my name?" the Countess wondered, frowning. That little downturn pout of her lips fit into her high and angular features in a manner that was almost cute, so unlike the regal face that had stared back at Vi that blizzard's night.
"It's not the name," the woodcutter laughed, shaking her head. "It's your face. You could bewitch people, looking like that."
(Or, Vi's memories of the Countess Kiramman are all that she has left of her once she has driven that stake through her heart.)

Vi knew she wasn’t the only one who had a date with destiny today. She estimated that maybe twenty or so other lucky individuals had been ripped from their comfy cells, to be paraded out in the midday sun in front of the Royal Navy’s finest.
The rattling sounds of trapdoors flopping open, followed by the sharp snap of a rope whiplashing, pulled Vi back to the moment once again. She would’ve looked up to watch, had her chains not been pulled upon sharply by the stout priest beside her.
“Open up”, he chirped, as he tried to slip a gold coin into her scarred mouth. “It’s to see you on your way - a last offering before...”, he continued, miming his neck being slit.
“Mate, where I’m headed - it’s too hot for gold”, she smirked back darkly, motioning down towards the depths of hell with her shackled hands.
OR
A rip-roaring Pirate Vi x Royal Navy Caitlyn tale, plied with healthy amounts of adventure (and whisky), musket and cutlass battles, and lesbian romance on the high seas. Vi just has to find a way to escape the gallows first, if only Cait weren't trying to execute her.
