When he breaks the kiss he notices Steve’s pupils have blown wide.
“Oh. That is like doing things to you, isn’t it?”“I mean - to know that no one has touched you like this before... Yeah, it’s doing things to me. Can I clean you up?”
Eddie is mortified at the mention of the current state of his pants. And even worse, the image of Steve babying him. He makes a choking noise and wonders if it’s possible to actually die of embarrassment.

And they would have been right, at first.
But the thing is, that Nancy was also far from stupid, so it didn't take long for her to catch up.
