Summary
After the war, the Fire Nation wanted Azula removed, hidden, and neatly contained. Zuko wanted his sister alive. The solution nobody expected was co-rule: one throne, two rulers, and a council forced to survive the combined force of Zuko’s conscience and Azula’s precision.
Now, in the middle of Yu Dao negotiations, the court learns that peace is less about softness than about learning how to trust the people who know exactly where the knives are. Between bad policy, sharper banter, and a half-hour break that becomes something close to safety, Zuko and Azula begin building a Fire Nation that no longer mistakes obedience for stability.
