When the door finally clicked open Chris let out a breath he’d been holding, relieved that Leon was finally back home. “Took you long enough,” he started, teasingly, as he got up from the couch and flipped the TV off.
There was only a loud thud from the next room. Startled, Chris jumped up on his feet, rushing towards the sound. His heart was already hammering but it skipped all the way to his throat when he saw Leon lying on the floor in one big heap, completely still and unmoving. “Leon?” he called out, kneeling beside the other man to carefully roll him around.
