    Summary

A visitor comes to the Pharaoh Atem's palace—a young man armed with a mysterious staff and a grudge carved into his very bones.

With the Thief King and the Pharaoh stranded together in the Shadow Realm, it falls to Yugi and Ryou to reclaim the palace from Malik Ishtar—both Maliks, as if one wasn't enough to deal with.

Sequel to "For Love of Pharaoh and King" and "What Followed the High Priest Home"; "The Pharaoh's Lotus Garden" Parts I and II accounts for the time between each work. Can be read separately, but will make a heckuva lot more sense with context.

“Do you fear them?” The First Mate attempted another conversation, he was all too comfortable being a bit pushy to build a bond with his superior.

    Them.

“No.” Kenma swallowed quietly. There wasn’t any need to clarify who they were. The Pirates.

“Is that because you underestimate them, or because you overestimate us?” The broad-shouldered man thumbed the corner of his holy book, allowing his skeptical analysis of how strong he thought their defenses to be lingering in the air, and watching Kozume for a reaction that never came.

    Summary

On a night on patrol like so many others, Batgirl rescues a priest from a pair of thieves-- then is intrigued when he pleads she show them mercy and asks what she believes in. No one has ever suggested faith play a role in Cassandra Cain's life before, and, moved by his compassion, she feels compelled to learn of his beliefs.
At the same time, a gang of Christian terrorists reveal themselves to Gotham, ready to dispense their own ideas of holy retribution.
Beset by dueling ideologies born of the same religion, Cassandra battles evil as she struggles with the question, "What is this faith? And could it finally be the key to forgiving and loving myself?"
So begins the life-changing religious odyssey of Cassandra Cain.
(Inspired by the unused "Angel of the Bat" pitch by Gail Simone. Annotated reupload and edit of the original Angel of the Bat story, published 2014-2015 on Fanfiction.net.)

    Summary

Ennoshita sighs next to him, brushing his hair back, and his voice comes out low in both volume and tone. “You’re too smart already.”

“For what?” Kenma pleads. “Is there something about this job that makes everyone who gets offered this position q—”

“All bets on you. You’re a great kid,” Ennoshita says quietly, intensely.

They look towards the back hallway, and the rest of the kitchen cast their eyes down firmly on their prep work as the door opens for the final entrance of the night.

    ...

Kozume Kenma—status: beggar. Kenma moved to Tokyo for university four years ago, but since graduation, he has yet to land a job. Finally, he’s been accepted to work as a server at one of Tokyo’s finest restaurants: Tiger’s Eye. It should be smooth sailing from here on out, but things don’t go as planned when the executive chef enters the scene.
Ten months ago, Kuroo Tetsurou, executive chef of Tiger’s Eye restaurant, received his third Michelin Star—the highest culinary honor. Since then, he’s become hotheaded, jaded, and often drunk, reviews are getting less positive, and he can’t hold down a new server to save his life. Sunday, none the wiser, Kozume Kenma enters the scene.
