Summary
Kafka is patient. She always has been, being a hunter of any variety requires such.
She thought it would be useful in mentoring Caelus. She did not know, that her patience & self-restraint would become as much of a nuisance as they would.
Nor did she know that Caelus, as insanely 'sheltered' as he was, would be as charming as he ended up being. Its a irritating situation, isnt it, the fight between adoring the man as deeply as she does, and wanting to restrain herself from influencing unwantedly.

The thought lingered in his mind as he scrolled through the remnants of a fractured timeline.
Each panel was a fragment of the apocalypse-a shattered Solaris. Calamity after calamity unfolded before his eyes, screams of despair frozen in time, some pleading for salvation, others lost to the chaos entirely.
And in the center of it all, she stood-hair like ripened strawberries, radiating a savior's aura. Could they-could he-do anything to stop this? Could they alter the path carved in devastation, or were they merely spectators of inevitable ruin?
In that question, that uncertainty, the weight of existence pressed down: this storyline, these events, these choices-they existed for no other reason than to answer that question.

Summary
The Mutants are scattered. On the night of the annual Hellfire Gala, Krakoa is destroyed, and Professor Xavier goes missing. With Krakoa gone, there is no more sovereign Mutant nation, and there is no more resurrection. Worse, a new president has been elected in America on the back of anti-Mutant sentiment, and has installed Bolivar Trask as the head of the newly formed Department of Mutant Relations. Once again, the Mutants are forced to try to live in a world that hates and fears them. As their final act, the Quiet Council of Krakoa declares that any remaining Mutants must go to ground until a plan can be formulated for their people. Hide. Survive.
The X-Men determine that they will be high profile targets for Trask and DMR, and therefore must not only hide, but must go places that no one would ever think to look for them.
Which is how Emma Frost, the White Queen, wearing all of her Hellfire finery, finds herself knocking at the door of Peter Parker's shabby little apartment.
