“Is everything ready?” he asked the shadow, his voice nearly a growl as he swapped out his radio filter in favor of a more bestial tone.
It nodded enthusiastically, its jagged mouth stretched wide.
Alastor closed his eyes and focused his other senses. Deer might be prey animals, but that never stopped him from utilizing his ruminant features to hone his skills as a predator. He listened for any difference in the familiar ambient sounds of the bayou, though he knew his quarry would remain silent. He inhaled deeply, taking in the strong odors of greenery and bogwater. He turned his head this way and that until his sensitive nose picked up the smell he was looking for:

Lucio thinks himself above every savage sea rat he's ever come across, and even more so Achille, who refuses to bathe or even wear a shirt! But Lucio discovers it's awfully hard to resist the captain's charms when he looks like that.

“So, Rosie.” Alastor straightened himself in his seat, taking his teacup and indulging in a sip. “Now that you’ve heard the tale, I come to you for advice on what to do with our little serpentine king. Please, enlighten me: why is Lucifer Morningstar acting so strangely around me?”
Rosie took a deep breath and set her cup on its saucer. “How’s the tea, darling?” she asked, hands folded on her lap.
Alastor blinked once, then twice. “Why, it’s lovely, as per usual.”
Rosie smiled sweetly. “Good. Not too bitter?”
“Not at all.”
“And how’re the fingers, dear? They taste alright?”
“They’re simply delightful.”
“Is your chair nice and comfortable?”
“The comfiest.”
“You’re all relaxed?”
“I’ve never felt so at home.”
“Lucifer is in love with you.”
Alastor spat out the tea he’d been drinking, which was quickly followed by a round of coughing so harsh you would think he was actively dying.

Alastor has a chat with Rosie regarding Lucifer’s odd behavior.
Rosie finds it all quite amusing.

Alastor leaned back and gave him a long, appraising look, his eyes sweeping down the length of Vox’s body. Vox’s screen felt warm, and he glanced down at his knees as Alastor leaned forward, opened the mini-fridge, and removed a bottle. “Champagne?”
“You’re a fucking asshole,” Vox growled. But he took the bottle.

Summary
CONTEXT: Alastor is deep in his rut, and Lucifer (who usually “handles” him) Is seeking a break this month. So, he asks Vox to fill in for him, who, of course, eagerly agrees… just that.... he isn't aware that Alastor completely loses control and goes full demon mode in this state.
