Whatever Zeb said in response was lost as pain washed over him again. The ache in his side flared to life with new agony that had pulled the remaining air from Kallus’ lungs. He could just barely hear Zeb’s voice calling out to him through the comm, but the words didn’t make sense anymore. His blurry vision was quickly darkening at the edges and as he felt himself loose his tenuous grip on consciousness, he found he wasn’t that scared.
After all, Zeb was coming for him.

It's said that centuries ago a witch had cursed traitorous dragon riders to become dragons and to live the rest of their lives burdened to be the very creature they wanted to conquer. Many said that it was a blessing, not a curse. Equally as many said it was just a tale and nothing more. Dunk was burdened with the curse and to a lifetime of loneliness.

“The nights are getting colder,” he landed on. “You’ll warm my bed from now on.”
Henry’s eyes widened, and he raised an eyebrow. He quickly glanced at Hanush, but his lack of reaction made Henry’s gaze return to Hans. The nobleman wasn’t even sure his uncle had heard them, staring at the fire absentmindedly as he was.
“What?” Henry repeated, this time dumbfounded.
“Well, it's your duty as my squire.”
Henry tilted his head as he continued to stare. Hans couldn’t hide his amusement at his confusion. As he looked into them, he felt stricken once again by just how blue his best friend’s eyes were. It was especially noticeable when his big, goofy eyes were held wide open as they were, matching the look of a begging puppy. Adorable.
“Sorry, my lord, but… Could you clarify what you mean by warming your bed?”
