The next time he comes back from a mission and wakes up in the butterfly estate, Tanjirou notices that there's someone sitting at one side of his bed.
"Tokito-san!" He beams, missing entirely the way Aoi is shaking her head behind the mist hashira.
"Please call me Muichiro," the Pillar says, smiling so gently at Tanjirou that the redhead can't quite believe he's the same person he encountered in the swordsmith village.

“Tokito-san…” The kakushi girl tries, looking a little bit nervous before shaking her head and turning towards the redhead instead: “Tanjirou, could please tell him to…”
“Oh, of course!” Tanjirou gently runs his fingers through Tokito’s hair. Not only he’s in the same room as Tanjirou, he’s wrapped around one of his arms. “Tokito-san, the girl wants to check my arm. Could you move a bit?”
“Okay!” Tokito beams at him before moving to Tanjirou’s left side and nuzzling against his cheek. He looks very happy so Tanjirou has decided to let him do as he pleases. Besides, Kotetsu told him the mist hashira had a fever so that’s probably the reason why he’s so affectionate now.

Since Tanjirou has noticed that none of the other slayers are shirtless, he puts his own uniform back on. Tokito pouts.
"You can train shirtless if you want, Tanjirou!" Tokito says, eyes roaming all over his body; maybe he's making sure Tanjirou doesn't have any injuries or perhaps he's just curious about the new scars.
"No... it's okay," Tanjirou rubs the back of his neck. "I'd feel weird if I'm the only one like that."
"I can ask the others to–"
"No, it's fine!"
