Summary
Now that Neil thinks about it, he doesn’t remember a time when Andrew truly exerted himself for a prolonged period of time.
When Andrew was quick on his feet, it came with an air bordering on hysteria. Wild with something Neil attributed to a deep cavernous pit of rage and the need to protect what he considered to be his own. The lightning quick chokehold he put Allison in when she laid her hand on Aaron, and the way he broke Riko’s arm before even Neil could fully process his fatal intentions, were self explanatory. Yes, he could be precise, but the scars littering Kevin and Nicky’s torsos were proof that even Andrew could slip, sometimes. Neil thought it was intentional, but he’s starting to think he never really understood Andrew at all.

- Conan GrayOR
"I never felt love the way the world wanted me to.
Maybe I had love, in the deep dark place I don't bother to acknowledge, but it wasn't something I wanted to will out of me. There was enough love to go around. I didn't need to take part in it.
I could just stay in bed."

Summary
Charles Smith considered himself many things. Quiet. Intelligent. Dependable to a fault. Occasionally, unintentionally rude. One thing he had never considered himself — physically or otherwise — was weak. Life had trained him too well for that. It had taught him the practiced motions of endurance, the reflexive bracing of the spine before impact, the careful distance one learned to keep from people, places, and hope itself. Complacency was a luxury. Attachment was a liability. When you lived a life as dangerous and unsettled as his, grief was not a question of if, but when — and it was easier not to invite it in at all.
All in all, Charles knew he was strong.
What he did not know — what sat heavy and unanswered in his chest — was whether that strength would be enough to carry the body of a man he cared for deeply down from a mountain.
(Post-Canon fix-it of what could have been if Arthur actually didn’t die on the mountain)

Summary
When the cell door shuts behind him and he turns to see Riko carding his hand through Kevin’s hair, the rage threatens to burn him from the inside out. He knows this is part of the plan, knows that this is all an act on Kevin’s part, but the sight still makes something flicker in the hollowed out space where his powers used to be. Riko waves a hand behind Kevin's head and pulls Andrew, involuntarily, to his knees, and it's the first time Andrew might actually regret taking parem to save them all from Drake.
“The Triumvirate,” Riko drawls. “Finally back together again.”
A Six of Crows fusion where Andrew takes the parem, Neil becomes a tiny Barrel Boss, and the Foxes end up in the middle of a turf war much bigger than themselves.
