To Satoru’s delight, they were in the same class and Satoru decided as soon as he saw the other boy in the classroom that he wanted him as his first friend. He went out of his way to talk to Suguru every day and tried to meet him by chance. He’d go to shower at the same time, go into the kitchen to eat at the same time, and step out of his room when he heard Suguru’s door. Initially, Suguru responded politely and reservedly, seemingly not interested in being friends. But Satoru refused to give up.
—Satoru has a lot of feelings about Suguru. That's just friendship, right? Suguru is his first friend and his best friend. So these feelings and desires are just due to friendship. As Satoru and Suguru go from first years at Jujutsu High to adulthood, they learn to be sorcerers, friends, and how to love each other.

In doing so, however, he makes it a lot harder for Andy to bury his feelings towards him. So when their group joins forces with another to fight against an incoming wave of zombies and one of the girls takes a liking to October, he finds that he might not be able to take it much longer. Just seeing the way she talks to him makes him angry. Will he do the smart thing and confess? Or will he shove his feelings down until they boil over into a hot bubbly mess?

Instead of creating flowers or beasts, Satoru folds narrow strips of paper into loose pentagons and then pinches the points of each pentagon with care, and in doing so, he creates small stars. However, prior to the formation of these stars, Satoru writes something onto the paper strips, the folding of which hides the characters he pens within their astral shapes.

“Satoru,” Suguru breathes. “Baby.”
“I’m not pregnant, Suguru. I’m not -”
“You’ve woken up nauseous more than once these past couple weeks,” Suguru points out.
Satoru squeezes his eyes shut, swallows. “So?”
“It’s been two months since your last heat. You’ve been nauseous, your stomach’s been upset, and just last night, you told me that your chest felt sore. You’re having all the early symptoms of pregnancy, and now you’re eating apples?”
