    "Ugh," Abbacchio says, and he pulls back into the apartment, closing the door in Ghirga's face again. "Buccellati, I think he's serious."

It drives Jay crazy. It's not fair. He goes back to sleep, pulling the covers over his head, hoping that maybe he'll disappear.

    For the first time, Jay has a real plan to leave and be a Normal Person. Matt's forced to use desperate measures to keep him around. Things get out of hand.

    A fic exploring the dark side of their codependent relationship and Matt's overcontrolling inability to let Jay branch out vs Jay's desire to do other things. The fic is not meant to be anti-Matt! But he does do things here, like in the show, that are not particularly Morally Great. Jay's also not perfect but honestly his ability to do harm here is pretty limited by circumstance if nothing else.
