Summary
Sam arrives in the Glade as the first girl ever, surrounded by strangers and struggling to find her place among them. Quiet, withdrawn, and burden by her large empty gaps in her memory, she feels out of place from the moment she arrives. Having forgotten many social cues and even what genuine love and affection feels like, Sam becomes vulnerable to manipulation and misunderstanding. But as she faces the challenges of life in the glade and the dangers beyond the walls, she slowly begins to find her voice, build meaningful connections (deeper than she realised she could), and discover confidence she never knew she had. In a world where trust can mean the difference between life and death, Sam must learn who she can rely on-and who she can become.
