Heather’s eyes kept straying. On the curve of his jaw. On the way his shoulders shifted under his shirt. A warm, stupid flutter started under her ribs. She dragged her gaze back to her book, biting the inside of her cheek.
“Something wrong with your reading?” His voice was warm, distracted, still half in the world of Gillyweed and bubotubers.
She cleared her throat. “Just… not sinking in.”
Neville glanced at her then, brief but enough for her stomach to flip. “Want me to quiz you?”
She almost laughed. If he knew what was actually on her mind, he wouldn’t be offering to make her think harder. Or maybe he would. “Maybe in a bit.”
He smiled faintly and went back to his notes.
Heather watched him for another heartbeat. He kept writing, completely at ease, and she realized with a sudden rush of affection and wanting that she could sit here all night, pretending to read, just to keep him close like this.- Language:

Bucky Barnes knew that being a POW meant that more than likely he was going to die, whether from torture, hard labor, or just outright being executed, there was little chance of survival or rescue. Packed in with other POWs, he fought to retain whatever sanity he had left. But suddenly, he had another reason to fight. A young woman who he developed a bond with became his sole reason for living, his reason for fighting. Harrie Potter was nothing like he expected or ever faced before, but after meeting her, he was willing to fight this whole damn war to keep her safe.
