Summary
As years go by, nothing much changes in Moominvalley... until the year Snufkin comes for his usual summer visit to discover mayhem at peaceful and cheery Moominhouse — probably the most inappropriate site for something as gruesome as murder.
A grotesque sitcom based on 'All In Red', a novel by Polish writer Johanna Chmielewska, one of my favorites, that has never been translated to English (or adapted for Moominvalley for that matter).
DISCLAIMER: vile intentions and murder mentioned.
But unlike many classic crime stories, the last thing I want to on focus is violence. It's all for moomins and giggles.Bookmarked by FizzingWizard

“Your journeys can get dangerous, can’t they, Snufkin.” It’s not so much a question as a statement.
For all the times they’ve faced danger together, Moomin had never seriously considered what kinds of perils his friend must encounter on his own. Snufkin is so capable, so wise and clever, and never returns to Moominvalley worse for wear. But Moomin knows that exposure can be very, very dangerous, even more so than a wolf or a goblin or any manner of creature. It’s very odd to think about Snufkin facing anything and not coming out on top, but the elements can be tremendously cruel and unforgiving, even for someone so experienced. And if you’re on your own, with no one around to help you when things get dire…

“You know so much about everything, Snufkin,” Moomin says, feeling a little awed. “It’s no wonder why you leave us every year. There are amazing things waiting for you out there.”
A pause. Snufkin hesitates, which is very unlike him-- he usually says exactly what he’s thinking. Slowly, carefully, he says, “There are amazing things waiting for me here, too. That’s why I always come back.”
Moomin lays there looking at him, and feels very warm. Like someone poured a cup of tea into his heart, on just the right side of burning. It’s absurdly comfortable, and Moomin is absurdly happy.
Snufkin looks back at him with serious eyes, reaching across the tiny space between them to touch Moomin's face with gentle fingers.
“I’ll always come back,” he says, like it’s a promise.

Summary
Tuffe found something that always made them feel better. Buried like a dear secret, they kept a small stack of postcards, each with a little note and a sketch. Leaning to catch the swinging paraffin light above, they read the one on top of the pile.
It began in a cheerful looping hand, the name TUFFE in big letters, as though it was a word the author took great joy in writing. At the bottom was a small drawing of a hatted mumrik in yellow, smiling and holding a flower as big as him. Originally, it had been packaged with a pressed daisy, but in the theatre, even Tuffe found it easy to lose Snufkin’s little gifts.
Tuffe carefully counted the postcards. One, two, three, four, five. They arrived in November, every year since they first began their life in the theatre.
Every year, that is, until the last.

“Uh,” Moomintroll said, and then because he didn’t even know where to begin, decided to keep his question simple. “What is happening?”
They both stared at him as though he was completely stupid.
“Isn’t it obvious enough?” Snorkmaiden asked.
“Oh, my Moomintroll,” Snufkin said, and Moomintroll had no idea how to deal with hearing Snufkin say that. “You can be slow sometimes.”
Snorkmaiden flickered a few more colours. Snufkin didn’t let go of his paws. Moomintroll stared at them both, still utterly at a loss.
Little My threw a handful of raspberry crumble at his head.
“They’ve swapped bodies, you great useless marshmallow.”
