Part of Ghost wanted to know who his soulmate was, and the other wanted to hide the necklace far, far away before his dad could find him with it. Yet Ghost kept staring, and he kept telling himself the pendant wasn’t warmer against his skin than it usually was. But it was warm, and it felt as if it was trying to burn a mark onto his skin. He gladly pressed it further into his palm just to see if it would do something, but all he accomplished was the stinging realisation that his soulmate was here, and it was Soap.or, everyone owns a necklace that displays your soulmate's emotions through colours and their proximity through temperature. Ghost never expected to meet his, and Soap thought his was long gone.

Summary
Christmas wasn't a very busy time on the military base. Most people went home to their loved ones or took leave to get away from their everyday environment.
But this Christmas would be different. At least, for the 141.
They had an assignment days after Christmas and none of them were allowed to leave base. They had planned most of the operation out, all they had to do was flatten out any small details and prep/ clean all of their equipment.
They all voiced their distaste one way other another but Soap vowed to make it as comfortable as he could and even try to celebrate his found family for all their work.

Soap buys decorations and cooks dinner for the rest of the 141 and friends :D just a load of fluff, awkward Ghoap, established Gaz/Roach, Nik/Price and Kate/ Her wife!

Soap’s eyes strayed over towards Price again, suddenly remembering to ask Ghost to be partnered up for the next Op, “hey Ghost,” his voice had dipped low.
“What Johnny?” Their eyes met and Ghost had his mask half pulled down over his mouth so he could sip at his drink, an easy smile that stretched the scars around his mouth. God Soap thought he was hot.
It was nearly distracting, jumbling his mind as he asked plainly, “can we be together?” Ghost nearly choked on his drink coughing a bit before staring wide eyed back at Soap.
“What? Us being together?”
“Aye,” Soap looked at him a bit confused. “If you don't want to, that's fine, I won't make it a big deal if you don’t.”
“I’m just surprised you’re so casual about it,” Ghost put his glass down, shuffling a bit closer that made Soap smile wider, “but yes, if you’re sure?”
Ghost nearly sounded nervous, and Soap saw the slight red tint to his cheeks and ears and Soap grinned wider at the knowledge that Ghost got flustered about being partnered up for a mission, he laughed a bit tilting his head to the side and looking up at Ghost, “I’m always sure about you.”
