It's been eight years since Ponyboy Curtis was thrown into foster care, now he's back, but Curly Shepard finds that he is disturbingly different. Meanwhile, Steve Randle is going through a midlife crisis at as early as 25 and he's trying to get his fiance, Evie, and Sodapop Curtis to relive their youth for a little. Darry Curtis is trying his best to support Tim Shepard through a tough time in his life. All while Two-Bit Mathews and Dallas Winston fight over nonsense and Johnny Cade has to try and get them to cooperate.
