“Just like you, yes,” Ilya finishes. His gaze drops down once more to the flimsy, wrinkled paper and the smudged face it displays. “We tried to draw our ideal people one day when we were bored, Svetlana and I. I was so upset that I couldn’t quite get the face right so I drew a terrible drawing of her instead, but…I kept dreaming of this beautiful boy with no face, just scribbles and freckles.”
OR: Svetlana brings Ilya some of his belongings from Russia, and with them a few old portraits that brings back an old memory of something inexplicably tied to Shane.

He covered it with an adhesive patch, one of the fancy ones made exactly for covering soul marks, and was careful to never let his teammates see it after a shower. They wouldn’t look, anyways. Everyone knows the rules of the locker room. No trying to see your teammate’s dicks or soul marks.
