Sometimes, Robby truly forgot how quickly gossip spread around the hospital. The juicier the gossip, the quicker it seemed to spread. And, by the look on Dennis’s face as he stood in the ambulance bay, arms crossed over the front of his pink scrubs, the news had reached Peds before Robby could even think about what he had done.
Robby tried a smile as he walked up to the younger man, but he could tell by the look on Dennis’s face that he would not be getting a smile in return.

Summary
After ignoring his phone in favor of getting split in two by his situationship, Shane is stranded in Boston at the start of the zombie apocalypse.
Ilya is left with nowhere to go, and Shane refuses to leave him behind. In order to survive, they have to cross the Canadian border and get to the cottage, together.
But getting to Canada is far easier said than done. When Ilya is badly injured, their road-trip becomes a race against the dead—and the infection spreading through Ilya’s leg.

Summary
It’s a difficult concept for Shane to grasp, taking up space like that. Birthday parties are always so loud and demanding of everyone’s attention, and Shane doesn’t know how to handle it, always stressed that people don’t actually want to be there or are just patronising him. The idea that people want to get together to celebrate Shane, besides his parents and husband, is completely foreign to him. The idea that his hockey team would show up for his birthday is incomprehensible.

Luca glanced sideways at Boodram, who was frozen with one arm in his jacket. It truly would have been hilarious, the way they all watched this scene unfold like a car crash, if it didn’t also feel like one.
They shared a confused glance, turning back when Rozanov’s incredulous “A ride?” rang through the locker room.
“Yeah, I, uh, figured I could use one since I just…quit the Metros,” Hollander said slowly, heaving an exhausted sigh afterwards.
In which Shane Hollander overhears his teammates talking about him before a game and ends up in the Centaurs' locker room, asking Ilya Rozanov for a ride.
