Summary
This is my first post so please leave commentary.
Arlen has been captured, tortured, kept away from the world she loves for four months. When she finally gets the chance at freedom, it is short-lived. She was never meant to be free. Pain is a constant and it is ready for more.
Jax only wanted to save her, only wanted for Arlen to live the life she dreamed. But he fell for the oldest trick in the book and now is mind is not his own. But he will stop at nothing to get back to her.

Together two souls chased one another in a world where they were opposites. They found peace in themselves and in turn gave it to the world. Born of pain and hurt, they became the calm the world needed.

Mac's seen the local roads and they’re too rough to make a fast getaway by land. “You get to the plane and get the engine started. I’ll distract them with these, and follow.”Jack looks unhappy with the plan, but there’s really nothing else to do except run back to the unkempt wilderness zone at the edge of the property and hope they can disappear into the trees. And that plan still sounds worse. “Fine,” Jack agrees. “But you better be quick about following me. I’m not flying out of here by myself.”
Mac gives him a pat on the shoulder as he picks up his three half-constructed smoke grenades, balancing them on one arm so he can pick up the jug containing the final component in his other hand. “I’ll be right behind you. As long as you can fly that plane, we’ll be fine.”

Summary
Malcolm catches the interest of a lecturer longing to transition the theoretical into reality. Her experiment both assaults and starves his senses, and as the world he can see and hear narrows with each passing hour Malcolm is left to keep his fragile grasp on his sanity on his own.
The team are searching for him, he can only hope they find him in time.

He turned around and quietly made his way to the basement. He needed to check on his guest. Needed to make sure he heard their entire conversation.
