Summary
Eddie Munson has his finger on the self destruct button. He doesn't know how to stop, and doesn't care enough to try. After Steve finds him under Andy's fist with a laugh bouncing off his tongue, he does everything he can to bring him back from the ledge.
He isn't the only one that wants to show Eddie that his life is worth fighting for.

Eddie stared at the cream tile on the shower wall, “Must’ve followed me from my deal. Pulled me into the alley.”
Steve hummed. He moved the alcohol soaked cotton to Eddie’s lip. A breath pushed from behind his teeth. He closed his eyes against the sharp pain.
“Do I look like I’m buying that?”
Eddie looked at him. Steve moved his eyes from Eddie’s lip, his thumb brushing over it slightly as he continued cleaning. There was a knowing glint. He raised one eyebrow.
Just like that, Eddie realised how close they were standing. Steve had situated himself against the outside of Eddie’s legs, his belt buckle pressed against his thigh and one hand braced on the counter by Eddie’s hip. The proximity made him short of breath. He blamed it on the discomfort, not the brush of Steve’s skin against his bottom lip.

"You're dreaming, I should think," His breath caressed my skin. It was there and then gone, far too fleeting. "So why am I here, Sixteen?" I didn't have an answer.
"I don't know," I muttered. My heart thumped noisily in my chest. I could not think. "Can you make it stop?"
His eyes flitted over mine. I could feel him like an infection. Crawling through my veins, warming my blood, shutting down my organs one by one until I was helpless, left with no other option aside from watching as he overtook me.
"Do you want me to make it stop?” He gently tilted my head up. I was soundless as this all unfolded, unable to fight it, unsure if I even wanted to.

Summary
Her name is Kozuki Raya, but no one calls her by that name anymore. Using the alias of Tenguyama Raya as advised by her Gramps, Kozuki Sukiyaki, she is the descendant of the legendary swordsmith Kotetsu and a distant friend of the Shimotsuki clan.
Following in her ancestor’s footsteps, she dedicates her life to the mastery of sword crafting, wielding, and learning. With much of her life being taught by Gramps, she realises that the dormant power, ancient knowledge and ancestral secrets that thrum within her veins start to play a very important role in the way the future world is shaped.
Meeting the Straw Hats was not written anywhere within her blueprints, but – most importantly - meeting Roronoa Zoro wasn’t supposed to change the trajectory of her life either.
(Written in a combination of first, second and third person POVs out of my own interest to test things out - I know - but SiHV will be rewritten soon in a consistent first person POV.)
