Hello, dear listeners. A stranger came to our little town today. He’s not a stranger in the usual sense of the word, in that he hails from this very town that he’s come to visit. Many of you may remember Steve Trevor - you may have watched him grow up, you may have been a part of his childhood, he may have even been a member of your family at some point. Now, Steve Trevor comes to Grimsby in the same manner that he came into the world - red, and raw, and covered in someone else’s body fluids. And I heard he’s a spy now? Wow. Life really is cyclical.

“No vodka?” Rozanov asks, tsking in disapproval but looking amused. “What then? What does the great Shane Hollander want when he does a good job? What is your vice, Hollander?”
“Hmmmm, mangoes,” Shane sighs out wistfully. It’s not a dangerous allergy for him, but it does mean being itchy and sometimes a little queasy for a couple of days after. Really he knows that he should probably avoid them altogether, but with every other restriction he has and with how controlled he is with his life even outside of that, it’s his one little indulgence, a pressure-relief valve of one bad choice to let some steam off at the end of a season, when he carves out time in his cottage when he can make his annual bad choice and enjoy a few days of wild mango madness before he makes himself buckle back into the restraints he usually keeps his life in.
He looks up when he hears Rozanov snort.
“Mangoes?” Rozanov repeats, tugging his shirt over his head. “Really?”
“They’re good,” Shane defends. “Better than vodka,” he adds, pointedly.
(shane has food allergies but makes an exception for mangoes) (5 times ilya didn't find out about this allergy and 1 time he did)

Shane's lips part in surprise. Ilya wants to push a finger between them, watch his cheeks hollow out around it, but Shane recovers quickly, mouth flattening before Ilya has a chance.
"It's—it's a normal response," he says, defensive. "Sometimes peoples' eyes water because of, because of the stimulation." Shane winces. "Or… you know what I mean."
"Oh, yes." Ilya grins. "The stimulation makes all parts of you wet."

Initially, it had been time-consuming to sort through the waves of portent, how much to share, when to talk to Theriault, and what it meant for the team. And yet, in the end, despite the demands for more from his orphic voyages from management, nothing ever gets done with the information. More often than not, now that he’s captain, it's Hayden and JJ just idly texting all of their visions—none of which are exceptionally helpful, although the drama of hearing bits of gossip is just more exciting than anything else.
Shane's just—it's so fucking stupid. Why keep the useless magic laced through Montreal if all it does is splinter under the weight? Why endanger the team with malicious prophecies if only one person seems to bear the brunt? Why force anyone to see the slices of deeply personal life Shane's glimpsing?
OR: The night before the Boston game, Shane makes a series of discoveries. Nearly all are terrible.
