"You've never asked permission before," Eddie says.
"Ha." It doesn't feel funny. "When I was trying to escape, she had, there were iron bars on the windows and door. I was trying to pick the lock. Or I was looking for something to…I found this model and I broke a piece off it and I tried to pick it until she tased me so hard I started screaming I was her son."
"Jesus, I'm sorry, what's stupid about that?"
"Oh, no. Um. The, the toy I broke to make the pick, it was uh, it was one of those older models, well, maybe not that old since I was able to twist the metal off the—it was a helicopter."
Buck contemplates the toy helicopter he used to try to escape Bonnie. Christopher makes a phone call. Buck debriefs with someone who loves him.

Summary
The call was routine; or as routine as an apartment building on fire can be. As Tommy directs the chopper towards the scene of the call, it dawns on him…he recognizes that building.
But they need to put this fire out. And then, Tommy can freak out.

Tommy hasn’t seen Evan since the night he walked out of the younger man’s loft. The next time he sees that same building, it’s on fire, and Evan is nowhere to be found.

Summary
Buck’s life changes drastically in a matter of days:
He finds out he’s pregnant. Eddie leaves the 118. And then he meets someone unexpected(ly perfect).
Or, there was a part of Buck that always thought he’d end up with Eddie—now that they’ve finally progress past friendship, at least in the bedroom area—until he realizes that it’s only one sided on his part. Only he’s also the one left with the physical evidence of their hook ups. But in comes Tommy Kinard. Handsome, kind, and exactly the kind of person Buck has always wanted.
