It’s at this point that I realise I don’t know where I am.
And it’s at this point that I realise: I don’t know who I am.When Ryland Grace wakes up in a jail cell and Eva Stratt finds herself in the middle of a spacewalk, neither of them are particularly clear on how they ended up there. Grace must do his best to reverse-engineer whatever phenomenon landed him in Stratt's body, while Stratt must work with Rocky to investigate Tau Ceti's Astrophage population.
Unfortunately, Grace is stuck on Earth.
And Stratt doesn't remember a thing.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

"Did it ever occur to you that I usually blame you because it's usually your fault?" Roy demanded.
"Does it feel weird that it's not your fault?" Maes couldn't help but ask.
"Like sand stuck under my fingernails," Ed freely admitted.
Accidental time travel or not, Maes was glad that Roy and Ed had saved his life, but he really wished that they had spent less time bickering like an old married couple and more time giving him actionable intelligence.

Schönkopf turned back toward the office, stepping forward and resting against the doorframe, and he watched Attenborough frown and pinch the bridge of his nose as he stared intently at a computer monitor sat atop his desk. He squeezed his eyes shut briefly with the gesture, before sighing and picking up a nearby document to reference against whatever was giving him so much trouble on screen.
“If I had a drink, I’d offer you some,” Schönkopf said in lieu of a proper greeting, or even knocking. He remained leaned against the door, waiting.
“If you offered, I’d accept.” Attenborough’s eyes flicked up briefly before returning to his computer. He grimaced at the screen before him. “Though I shouldn’t.” He leaned forward, frowning more pointedly, the expression strangely heightened by the muted, reflected light of the computer monitor. “But I would.”
