Summary
"This doesn't change anything." Jack insisted.
Chase did nothing more than narrowed his eyes. "What do you think the other monks will do when they find out? Surely, you are not naive enough to actually believe they won't betray you."
Well, excuse you. "I am a cesspool of insecurities. Calling me out on them isn't going to sway my opinion."
"Then let us try another way." Chase slammed one hand against Jack's chest, pinning him to the wall, slipping a few fingers under the collar of Jack's robes. Jack felt that same dazed feeling return as Chase summoned more heylin magic. The heylin grabbed Jack's jaw and leaned in until Jack could barely feel his lips brush against his. "Even the strongest of wills have their breaking point. And I have every intention of breaking yours."

Summary
Jack had always loved the ocean.
The crash of waves, the smell of salt thick in the air, the warm sand under his feet. He used to watch the tide rise from the safety of his grandmother's house, then run down to the beach to gather the washed up seashells with childish enthusiasm. He remembers the nights his grandmother used to tell him stories of the mythical beings that lived underneath its waves, the mysteries and magic that swirled just beyond his sight.
He still loves the ocean, even in the wake of his grandmothers passing. He just never really thought he'd come face to face with one of the mythical beings from his grandmother's stories.

Summary
“Maybe you could also try getting laid,” Lance continues, as if he’d noticed the tension in the air as well. He must’ve – there’s no way he hadn’t. The air is thick enough to choke them both.
“Oh, yeah, because everyone’s just lining up to get me to sleep with them,” Keith answers, heavy on the sarcasm. He’s hoping for a rebuttal, for a ‘well, I am’, for something to latch on to.
“Can’t be too hard for you to find someone with the way you look, man.” Lance vaguely gestures at him. “You just gotta open your eyes.”
or: Keith struggles with leading. Lance struggles with his sexuality. Hooking up solves none of those problems.

Summary
Jack cooed at the coffee machines and smiled like a dork when they whirred back and made him a cup of espresso without prompt. He couldn't help but bring his babies to work with him. He didn't go too far. He just created the coffee machines...and some waiters. It was completely normal.
