Summary
They are all incomplete by some measure.
With their understanding of natural laws shattered by their discoveries in pursuit of a dangerous threat to Council space, the question of what is possible becomes more difficult to ask. Stumbling and struggling with their own limitations, they will come to understand what it means to find an answer in someone, and what it means to know oneself. The only trouble is, where is the line drawn between a disguise and its wearer? What happens when the disguise is removed and there is nothing underneath?
Ultimately, though, whose side are you on?

Summary
She has spent her entire life as an extrusion pulled through a mold. She hates her father for building her a prison of personality, opinions, and acquaintances, making sure she was only ever good at one thing so that he could precisely control her future. Her xenophobic, abusive, narrow-minded father conducts the Terran Conservatory’s premiere orchestra on the Citadel, and placed her at its head as concertmaster the moment he noticed her mark appear. Lies are all she knows, and she despises him for using them to keep her here, and she despises music for all that it has taken from her. Nearly twenty-eight years as his project and property… Sometimes she questions whether she is even his child. He has her under his thumb, and she has nowhere to run, even if she were to escape.
So, when a surprising opportunity is foisted upon her, she spitefully defies her father’s expectations in the hope that she will eventually ruin his reputation. However, she is unknowingly provided the means and the resolve to remain a free woman once she has cut her father out of her life.

Summary
After five years of extortion, pressure, and grief, Shanxi’s colonists have had enough. A select few brave souls lean into the assistance of their supposed enemy to free their fellow colonists from their true captors. In the midst of the occupation, an obscure mechanic with few memories of her past is an informant and a saboteur of sorts, discreetly assisting their liberators – a “traitor” as their oppressors would say, or a “ghost,” as her correspondents refer to her.
She once said that she would fight for something worth dying for until she found something worth living for, but what is the cost of either? With heavy trauma inflicted during the Conflict, she rebuilds and moves forward, seeking an individual and a future that supersedes all else, and changes who she is in pursuit of both. The journey reveals much more about herself than she ever wanted to know…

Summary
When recently demoted detective Garrus Vakarian moves into his new apartment on the Citadel, the last thing he expects is an intruder.
A stray, to be exact.
Mysterious, aloof, and more than a little bedraggled, his neighbor Shepard keeps odd hours and the rest of the world at arm's length. Thanks to her troublemaking cat, however, avoiding Garrus proves harder than she'd like.
But earning the trust of a stray—human or otherwise—has never been easy. There’s more to Shepard than she lets on, and the closer Garrus gets, the more he sees that beneath her battle scars lies a grief she's spent years trying to bury. A feeling he can understand all too well.
A Shakarian AU about a disillusioned man, a mischievous cat, and the quietly guarded woman who becomes attached to them both.

Summary
Grieving Commander Shepard turned Garrus into someone else, and now he's haunted by a ghost wearing her face. This Shepard, he's convinced, is a spirit, or a figment of his dying brain--because he's sure he's dying, lying in a pool of his own blood on Omega, and she's here to help him live through a final act of vengeance before he's gone.
Shepard, too, is tormented by memory and doubt, unsure that she's the person she--and everyone else--remembers. But she's trapped where she is, and more important to her is making sure that Garrus remembers himself before it's too late. As they each face their own struggles with identity, they find a new kind of kinship and intimacy in the wreckage of their former selves.
Think of it as ME2+.

Summary
Garrus has admired the commander for a while now. He knows she's been admiring him too, so what's holding him back?
As the hunt for Saren continues, maybe together they can find something to cling to.
Short and smutty Shakarian: a self-indulgent, canon divergent romance behind the events of ME1.
There's not much plot, but a lot of feels.Bookmarked by FFIC0

Summary
Garrus and Shepard have settled into married life on the Citadel two years after the Reaper war. Garrus has taken the position of Primarch, representing the 3 million Turian refugees and citizens that now live on the Citadel after the damage suffered on Palaven. Shepard has spent her time after the war rehabbing and retiring from service. Settling into civilian life is finally feeling like normalcy, and their recently adopted daughter adds even more to their seemingly, now normal, lives.
But remnants of the divisions created by the Reaper War still remain, and life was never meant to be quiet for the newly formed Vakarian family.
