Summary
Tav and her companions survived the Elder Brain. They saved the city. She said her goodbyes and chose the world over herself.
Now, in the silence that follows, she’s becoming something else.
Bitten on the road to Baldur’s Gate, Tav’s transformation was delayed by the tadpole. But with the brain destroyed (and the tadpole with it) there’s nothing left to hold the change back.
As the hunger rises and her old life fades, Astarion brings her to a forgotten manor on the city’s edge. He knows what this costs. He knows what it takes to survive it and how to stay whole through the unraveling.
This is a story about learning control after losing everything. About choosing to live, even when you no longer recognize yourself. And about the love that doesn’t flinch when you do.

Summary
“Miss Nomani, was it?” he asked, peering at her down the length of his nose. “Neve Nomani?”
He knew her name? “I—yes, sir,” Neve stammered. “I mean—yes, my lord.”
His lip curled upward again at her obvious nerves. “And do you know who I am, Miss Nomani?”
Should she know him? Did he have the same feeling when he looked at her?
She was beginning to feel rather ill caught in that slitted gaze of his. Half of her was desperate to be out of the room, and yet the other half was transfixed. Not by his beauty—not only by his beauty—but with an inexplicable kind of sinking feeling. It went beyond simple fear; there was a sadness to it, as well. Like the sight of him was wrong, somehow. The longer she stared at him, the more it felt like someone had reached inside her chest to squeeze her heart in an icy grip.
And she couldn’t look away.
__Summoned to make a delivery to the Crimson Palace by a mysterious note, a Neve who never left Baldur’s Gate finds herself haunted in the aftermath of her meeting with the inexplicably familiar Lord Ancunín.

Summary
“Oh, gods forbid they respond positively to you doing a good thing,” Neve deadpans. She squeezes him a little again. “That’s sort of how it works, Astarion.”
She can’t even see it. Believes the best of them all so earnestly, himself included, that she can’t see how it would all fall away without her at the center. It’s enough to make a person feel like they might actually deserve it.
“And by it, you mean…?” he asks instead.
Her huffed laugh of disbelief ruffles the hair at his neck. “Friendship, you idiot,” she answers. “And the general acquisition thereof.”
Astarion cuts a sideways look at her as best he can with her still nestled so close. “And is that what we are? Friends?”
He’d meant it to tease her, and yet finds that the silence before her answer twists his stomach. Because…he doesn’t actually know, either.
“Yes, Astarion,” Neve says gently, after a moment. “I think we’re very good friends.”
-
Neve and Astarion, continued. She's not a victim. Not a target. Not just one night it's better to forget. But then...whatever in the world could she be?

Summary
“Well,” he croons, “The fun doesn’t have to be entirely one-sided. Our time could very well be limited. You help me with my condition…and I could help you with yours.”
“My condition?” she asks, her eyebrows now arched to maximum height.
Astarion tilts his head. “Darling, it’s bad enough that we might burst into tentacles any day now. I would hate to see you die a virgin.”
-
Neve already had her hands full, what with trying to keep her companions from killing each other and pushing forward in the face of an uncertain fate. Then the vampire had to go and decide she was sweet enough to want to sink his teeth into.
Another take on how things unfold post-bite.

Summary
“Easy, darling.” Astarion worries at your face as you pant for air, swiping aside a trickle of blood dribbling down your chin. “That’s it.”
You’re crying, you realize, something not even the torture had been able to draw from you. You’ve known your situation long enough, but this is the first moment that you’ve understood at your core.
What you are now. What you need. What cannot be undone.
