Summary
Mewtwo's planning at New Island is interrupted by the unexpected appearance of a trainer and his pokemon, a zangoose, a tentacruel, and a machoke. Knowing he hasn't sent his lures out to gather certain pokemon trainers, he decides to investigate and eliminate them before they ruin his plan.
Those plans are waylaid as an admission hits him like a truck. Curiosity takes over, and now he finds himself dead set on learning about his intruder and the pokemon that accompany him.

'Under that calm, sympathetic face lived the idea that he couldn't change, despite how much effort he put in. He thought that if given the chance, the Master would stab him in the back without hesitation, and their life in the TARDIS together was just a very long thought-out plot to kill him.'
The Master saves the Doctor from an alien ship and patches him up, but is met with the Doctor questioning his care. The Master is furious.
