The sling ring is pretty small for all the power it has. Ned waggles his fingers. "I don't think he realized I still had this one? I wasn't stealing it on purpose, I swear, but it's magic-"
Like clockwork, a tiny orange portal opens right under his palm. All three of them step back, but all that happens is a thick book appearing to drop on the alley floor. Mystic Arts For Dummies, with a thumbs-up embossed on the leather cover. The portal shuts immediately after.
ALT: Let it never be said that Peter Parker's friends would leave him to face being erased from existence alone. If one of them goes to a different universe, the other two are sure as hell not staying behind.
