Mel hummed sympathetically. "Is it going to be expensive?"
"No, it was the stupid O2 sensor. They didn't even charge me, just reset the onboard computer."
"So…?"
Jayce made some sort of noise in the back of his throat. "The mechanic helping me had his sleeves rolled up almost to his elbows."
"Ohhhhh," Mel said in sudden understanding.

It started off innocent enough, merely watching Viktor while they were in their lab, glancing over now and then, and quickly looking away, immersing himself in the work in front of him once more.
If Jayce spends more time watching Viktor than actually working on the runes, that is no one's business but his own.

Jayce's obsession with Viktor grows and grows, until one day he can no longer stop himself from simply following Viktor around, going wherever he goes, always watching.
