    This was typically the part where Rumi would be expected to introduce herself, but she didn't seem to give a flying fuck about what was expected of her if the way she still just stared even as Celine cleared her throat pointedly said anything.

    Rumi squinted between them and the bag. "Why."

    "Because as much as you don't seem to like us, we like you just fine."

    "Well, come on. Aren't you going to bite somebody with those big sharp teeth of yours?" Mira prompted again with a raised brow, shaking Zoey's arm slightly, as if genuinely trying to entice Rumi to take a bite.

    Instead of taking the proffered bait, Rumi turned her head away with a strong air of ‘well now I don't want to.'

    "Thought so." Mira drawled, unimpressed. "Now how about you let us help you inside?"

    “I’m a Witch,” Rumi said quietly.

    “Oh.” Zoey suddenly seemed a bit shyer. “I’m half witch… Mom’s side.” She chuckled lightly. “I thought you were a wolf. You’ve got yourself some gnarly fangs.”

    Rumi blushed, tucking an invisible hair behind her ear. She ran her tongue over her teeth; sure enough, jagged pricks sat next to each of her front two teeth.
