Summary
It's 1993: five years since Vecna was defeated. Everyone has moved on from Hawkins, but Mike stayed behind. After four years of wallowing in regret and replaying the nightmares of the Upside Down & Vecna, Mike finally decided to move away from Hawkins.
When he arrives in Indianapolis, Mike swiftly discovers that what he tried to run away from followed him. Mysterious new creatures have been attacking Indianapolis. To Mike's surprise, superheroes *do* exist and they exist in Indianapolis: a four-person group called "The Demolitionists". Violent creatures, D&D parallels, powers, and secret identities. Will Mike Wheeler the budding, determined journalist get to the bottom of it all?

“So. The church?” Miike asked.
“The church.” Will said firmly.
The building radiated with a sort of holy innocence, looking almost untouched and definitely out of place in the Upside Down. Will jiggled the front door handle and groaned. “Locked.” He thought for a moment. “Stand back, Mike.”
Mike did, watching Will back up a few feet. “What are you-”
Will began in a running start before throwing the weight of his body against the door with a bang. The door swung open but Will kept his balance, wincing. “That was loud. And kind of stupid.”
“Are you kidding me?” Mike stared at him in a sort of awe. “I’ve only ever seen people do that in movies. Holy shit. That was epic.”
“Oh shut up.” Will blushed. “It was nothing.” As they made their way into the church, Will took off his jacket, slinging it over his shoulder and stretching out his arm. Mike watched the muscles in his back strain against his t-shirt, his biceps and lats bulge from the simple stretch. Mike swallowed, hard.
“Hey, it’s not too bad in here.”

Summary
....are you sure it was just a crush? ." Mike was speaking again, hesitantly, and he looked like he was asking the most horrifying thing his brain will allow.
Will felt a jolt, deep in his soul. He turned away and closed his eyes quickly to bite back some of the pain in his heart.
"Yeah I'm sure. It was nothing Mike, just a stupid coming of age crush - gone before it even had time to leave a mark." He swallowed, hoping Mike wouldn't hear the wobble in his voice.
Mike was still standing, frozen on the stairs so Will forced himself to half turn back again as he started to walk up. "Seriously Mike, don't even think about it any more, I don't."
And he walked out of the basement door into the hallway to join the others.
Mike was left on the stairs. Hope dead in his eyes. A single tear begging to be released. His heart aching in his chest. He was too late.

Set in the 18 month time skip between the final battle and graduation. Mostly from Mike's POV
Kinda slow burn, Mike's crushing realisation that he is in love with Will, followed by months of angst and miscommunication. Eventual smut and a whole lot of fluff.- Language:

Summary
The defiant child inside him would rather be useless by Will’s side than useful anywhere else, and he was tired of fighting it.
In which Mike is scared but trying his best, never leaves Will during the final battle, and finally tries to be honest with himself. Some things go differently while others stay the same, but the two boys still can't reach each other. Many months later, still riddled with grief and an uncertain future, they try to get by, but too much is left unsaid. When Will sleeps over at Mike's house on the night of graduation, he asks to talk; many things get addressed - and then Mike slips up.
Or: Unfurling what has always been there. Everyone talks more, so blue and yellow can finally meet in the west.
